Internships

An internship with RWL Weightlifting will intensely improve your skills as a strength and conditioning and or weightlifting coach. Internship positions are competitive and are offered three times a year – summer, fall semester and spring semester. During your internship you will have the opportunity, based on ability, to work in a coaching capacity with a competitive weightlifting team, travel to weightlifting competitions with the team in a team leader capacity, have exposure to the art of programming, be exposed to multiple reading assignments relative to high performance training, and be a part of the coaching staff, as an intern, at RWL.

RWL internship positions are secured through an application process (please see more detail below). Schedules are designed on an individual basis and average 12-15 hours minimum a week. Interns will assist the coaching staff with various weightlifting activities at RWL, in the community, as well as with Coaching Certifications in New England. The first internship with RWL is a non-paid position, (please email us at info@rwlweightlifting.org for more information on the fees associated with a level 1 intern position).  Interns will have the opportunity to re-apply for a paid internship position upon successfully completing the initial internship.
